Microsoft’s family of custom AI accelerators that run cloud AI workloads such as Copilot and Teams on infrastructure Microsoft controls, rather than relying solely on third-party GPUs. Maia 200 is in production and Maia 300 follows with a software-defined dataflow architecture aimed at higher tokens-per-watt inference as Microsoft expands to multi-gigawatt deployments.
